There’s just something right about a radio in a kitchen. It’s company, it’s information, it’s inspiration. Almost a substitute to having a friend over to share a glass of wine and cook a meal together. For me, the only thing that could have made up for leaving the CBC behind in Canada, was coming to live in a country that has the BBC. Particularly when I suffer from homesickness, the radio seems to connect me with the outside world.
Like a match made in heaven, the beautiful, old school Tivoli radio & the great iPod. My sweetheart brought me a cord to connect them, setting off a wave of dancing in the kitchen to 80’s electronic music. The sound is amazing! And the kitchen is clean in half the time.
